Birmingham International Tattoo to support local disabled veterans
The organisers of the Birmingham International
Tattoo are delighted to announce that £13,300 was raised
at the 2016 spectacular event at the Barclaycard Arena last
November. The money raised goes to The Royal Star & Garter
Homes, a charity which cares for disabled veterans and has a
local home at Solihull only a few miles away from where the
Tattoo is held each year.
Birmingham Tattoo Producer,
Norman Rogerson MBE, commented: “In this 100th year of the Royal
Star & Garter Homes, it is great that the amount raised takes
the total raised by the Tattoo for the charity to about £93,300.
The funds raised will be used to
assist those who served and are now reliant on The Royal Star &
Garter Homes to protect them in their time of need.”
Charity’s Chief Executive, Andy Cole, who addressed the Tattoo
audience, was delighted with the results.
of the Tattoo aim to bring the total to a magnificent £100,000
during the 2017 event.
